A Wolseley 6/110 MkII

Not every weekend involves getting out on a motorcycle for a ride and especially in the throes of winter a ride in a classic car certainly has some appeal. Its comparative warmth and that special multi sensory experience that brings back memories from earlier times in ones life are a wonderful escape from a contemporary world and all its foibles. Phill and I had a meeting organised in Foxton with a fellow Creative so it proved to be an ideal opportunity to take his 1967 Wolseley 6/110 MkII Overdrive out for its weekly spin. And what a hoot it was. Its 2.9 litre six cylinder motor pumps out 120 bhp and along with the overdrive it certainly provided enough oomph for us to loupe along at a very relaxed 60+. The wooden dash and trimmings are difficult to beat and the leather seats certainly give it some class. Thanks for the spin Phill and I must go and have a look at Trade Me......
